ISI Summer School Academy
Summer school is being conducted regularly for the children during summer breaks. It is a short-term course of six weeks, organized usually in Jun-July. Approximately, 150 children attend this program.
Islamic School of Irving is dedicated to the development of our next generation, they are our future, and will fill the masajid when we are gone. Summer school is one of the channels to reach each and every child in the metroplex and provide basic Islamic education and tarbiyah.

Summer School Dates: Monday – Thursday, June 11 – July 27 (8:45am – 2:00pm)
Holiday: Wednesday, July 4th & Thursday, July 5th
Time: 8:45 am – 9:00 am assembly
9:00 am – 1:45 pm classes
1:45 pm – 2:00 pm Salat Al Thuhr
2:00 pm – 2:15 p.m. Dismissal
Subjects or Programming:
Quran, Islamic Studies, and Arabic
Reading, “ Sail Away with Books”
Everyday Mathematics, “ Junior Architects” & “ Intern Chefs”
Registration:
1. Enrollment begins Thursday, May 3 - 25, at Islamic School of Irving Administration Office (upstairs) – from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Late enrollment will begin Monday, May 28.
2. Tuition must be paid in full at the time of enrollment.
• Tuition for 6 weeks program: $250.00 per student
• Registration Fee: $25.00
• Materials & Stationary Fee: $30.00
• Late Registration Fee: $50.00 added to regular registration of $25.00
3. Refunds will be given for students withdrawn from program prior to July 11. All fees are refundable except for registration $25.
4. No student is officially enrolled until tuition is paid in full.
5. Class sizes are limited, and will be filled on a first come first served basis.

GENERAL RULES AND POLICIES
Discipline
Every student attending ISI Summer Academy will be required to sign a “ Discipline Agreement”. A parent or legal guardian must countersign this Agreement. The agreement outline the policies governing student conduct in the summer school program. Students who violate this agreement will be withdrawn from the program without refund.
Attendance
Students must be regular and prompt in attendance. If vacation or other plans of the family will cause absence in excess of two days, he/she should not enroll. If a student is absent more than two days, he/she is subject to removal without refund. There are no excused absences in summer other than illness with doctor’s excuse or family emergency.
Class Size
Each level will have the capacity of 30 students. There will be 2 classes, A & B, for each level, making the actual class size 15 students.
Field Trip
One field trip will be scheduled during the summer program. Place of destination will be determined by the teachers and administrators. All parents must sign a field trip permission form during enrollment, but will be notified in a timely manner about plans and dates.
Snacks and Lunches
There will be one scheduled, daily snack and one lunch period to be eaten in the school cafeteria. All students will bring their own snacks and lunches. Since microwaves are not available, please pack lunches accordingly. ISI also promotes healthy lifestyles, so please consider good, healthy choices for your students.
Salat Al Thuhr
All students will participate, as a class, in daily congregational prayer. They will be expected to act in accordance with Musallah manners.
Dress Code
Students must follow the Islamically accepted dress code.
Girls 3rd grade and up:Loose fitting clothing
Long sleeves
Long pants or skirts
Non-see through scarves
Boys 3rd grade and up:Loose fitting clothing
Long pant – no shorts or sleeveless shirts
Girls & Boys:No pictures on clothing.
*Anyone violating the dress code, parent or guardian will be called to bring acceptable clothing, or sent home to change.
Drop Off and Pick Up Procedures
Students will be dropped off in front of the Men's entrance of the Masjid, no earlier than 8:30 am. Teachers will dismiss students from the Women's entrance, outside of the Masjid, between 2:00 pm – 2:15 pm. Between 2:15 pm – 2:30 pm, parents or legal guardians will pick students up from designated holding area and sign release paper. A baby sitting fee will apply after 2:30 pm. Students left by parents before and after specified times will not be the responsibility of ISI Summer Academy.
