Modesty in Hijab

You look at me and call me oppressed,

Simply because of the way I'm dressed,

You know me not for what's inside,

You judge the clothing I wear with pride,

My body's not for your eyes to hold,

You must speak to my mind, not my feminine mold,

I'm an individual, I'm no mans slave,

It's Allahs pleasure that I only crave,

I have a voice so I will be heard,

For in my heart I carry His word,

" O ye women, wrap close your cloak,

So you won't be bothered by ignorant folk",

Man doesn't tell me to dress this way,

It's a Law from God that I obey,

Oppressed is something I'm truly NOT,

For liberation is what I've got,

It was given to me many years ago,

With the right to prosper, the right to grow,

I can climb moutains or cross the seas,

Expand my mind in all degrees,

For God Himself gave us LIB-ER-TY,

When He sent Islam,

To You and Me!            ^Go Back

Angel of Death

It was early in the morning at four when death knocked upon a bedroom door Who is there? The sleeping one cried
I’m Angel of death Let me inside

At once, the man began to shiver
As one sweating in deadly fever

He shouted to his sleeping wife
Don’t late him take away my life

Please go away, O Angel of death!
Leave me alone, I’m not yet

My family on me depends
Give me a chance O please prepense!

The angel knocked again and again
Friend! I‘ll take your life without a pain

This your soul Allah requires
I come not with my own desire

Bewildered, the man began to cry
O Angel I ‘m so afraid to die

I‘ll give you gold and be your slave
Don’t send me to the unlit grave

Let me in, O friend! The Angel said
Open the door; get up from your bed

If you do not allow me in
I will walk through it, like jinn

The man held a gun in his right hand
Ready to defy the Angel‘s stand

I’ll point my gun, towards your head
You dare come in, I’ll shoot you dead

By now the Angel was in the room
Saying, O friend! Prepare for you doom

Foolish man Angels never die
Put down your gun and do not sigh

Why are you afraid! Tell me O man
To die according to Allah’s plan?

Come smile at me, do not be grim
Be happy to return to him

O Angel! I bow my head in shame
I had no time to take Allah‘s Name

From morning till dusk I made my wealth
Not even caring for my health

Allah’s command I never obeyed
Nor five times a day I ever prayed

A Ramadan came and a Ramadan went
But no time had I to repent

The Hajj was already FARD on me
But I would not part with my money

I charities I did ignore
Taking usury more and more

Sometimes I sipped my favorite wine
With flirting women I sat to dine

O Angel! I appeal to you
Spare my life for a year or two

The laws of Quran I will obey
I’ll begin SALAAT this very day

My fast and Hajj, I will complete
And keep away from self conceit

I will refrain from usury
And give all my wealth to charity

Wine and wenches I will detest
Allah’s oneness I will attest

We Angel do what Allah demands
We cannot go against his commands

Death is ordained for everyone
Father, mother, daughter or son

I’m afraid this moment is your last
Now be reminded, of your past

I do understand your fears,
But it is now too late for tears

You lived in this world, two score and more
Never did you, your people adore

Your parent, you did not obey
Hungary beggars, you turned away

Your two ill-gotten, female offspring
In night-clubs, for livelihood they sing

Instead of making more Muslims,
You made your children non-Muslims

You ignored the Mua’dhin Adhaan,
Nor did you read the holy Quran

Breaking promises all your life,
Backbiting friends, and causing strife

From hoarded goods, great profits you made,
Any your poor workers, you underpaid

Horses and cards were your leisure
Money-making was your pleasure

You ate vitamins and grew more fat
With the very sick, you never sat

A pint of blood you never gave,
Which could a little baby save

O human, you have done enough wrong,
You brought good properties for a song

When the farmers appealed to you
You did not have mercy, this true

Paradise for you? I cannot tell
Undoubtedly you will dwell in hell

There is no time for you to repent
I’ll take your soul for which I am sent

The ending however, is very sad
Eventually the man became mad

With a cry, he jumped out of bed
And suddenly, He fell down dead           ^Go Back

Science and Faith

Once Science said to Faith: My eye can see all that is in this world
The Entire world is within my net
I am only concerned with material things
What have I to do with spiritual matters
I can strike a thousand melodies
And openly proclaim all the secrets that I learn

Faith Replied

With your magic even the waves in the sea are set ablaze
You can pollute the atmosphere with foul, poisonous gases
When you associated with me, you were light
When you broke off from me, your light became fire
You were of Divine origin
But you have been caught in the clutches of Shaytan
Come, make this wasteland a garden once again
Borrow from me a little of my ecstasy
And in the world set up a paradise
From the day of creation we have been associates
We are the low and high tunes of the same melody

O Mosque O Mosque

O Mosque, O Mosque, O sacred place
O Mosque, O Mosque, center of grace
Your minaret, from which light abounds

Sends forth your meaningful sounds
With a hundred counsels you invite us

To hasten towards Allah's forgiveness
Hasten for the prayer-food of sages

Time of ascension and flying through ages
Hasten in my direction the prayer, the prayer

The best work is prayer so honest and fair
O Mosque, fair guide of the human race

The sound from you is the sound of faith
A tent of light on dark, dark land

A cool canopy on hot, scorching sand
Over our heads, you, kind neighbor

Our citadel in times of danger
Holy cradle of heart, soul and faith

Of me and Allah, a meeting place           ^Go Back

Allah

I tried to find Him on the Christian cross, but He
was not there; I went to the Temple of the
Hindus and to the old pagodas, but I could not
find a trace of Him anywhere.

I searched on the mountains and in the valleys
but neither in the heights nor in the depths was I
able to find Him. I went to the Ka'bah in Mecca,
but He was not there either.

I questioned the scholars and philosophers but
He was beyond their understanding.

I then looked into my heart and it was there
where He dwelled that I saw Him; He was
nowhere else to be found.

Striving To Be The Best

When Voices Are Raised In The Masajid
It’s To Give The Azaan
Read The Namaaz
And To Follow Allah’s Bid.

To Allah Do We Turn In Times Of Desperate Need
We Follow His Path With The Messenger As The Lead.
You Can Make Us But Can’t Break Us
You Can Hate Us But Can’t Fake Us
Even Through Hurricanes We Keep Our Calm

Prayer of a child

On my lips is coming a wish-like prayer Lord!
May my life burn like a candle-like fire!

With my breath may the darkness depart,
With my light let every corner ignite.

Let my breath add to the beauty of my nation
Like how a flower adds to the beauty of a garden

I wish my life were a moth, O lord!
In love if I was with the flame of knowledge, O Lord!

May my task be to defend the poor
To love those who at heart are weak and sore

O My Allah! Save me from doing what is bad
On the path that is right, on that You lead!

Advice on Friends!

A real friend wishes his companions well,
He's not one who allows them to get close to hell,

Always be careful of the friends you Choose,
So, in the end, Jannah you will not lose,

If you find your companion is not stopping your wrong,
then, be weary, his friendship is not strong.

If you see the pattern made,
that when you are under your friend's shade,

Your Imaan begins to fade,
Leave the worthless creation,

make friends with Allah, Surely that is a high station!.

A dervish who had knowledge of our present situation,
Once told his students the following dictation,

"The meeting of people will never enrich you,
save with the gibberish of useless gossip.

So diminish your meeting with people,
except for knowledge or to improve your condition           ^Go Back

Abou Ben Adhem

Abou Ben Adhem (may his tribe increase!)
Awoke one night from a deep dream of peace,

And saw, within the moonlight in his room,
Making it rich, and like a lily in bloom,

An Angel writing in a book of gold:
Exceeding peace had made Ben Adhem bold,

And to the Presence in the room he said,
"What writest thou?" The Vision raised its head,

And with a look made of all sweet accord
Answered, "The names of those who love the Lord."

"And is mine one?" said Abou. "Nay, not so,"
Replied the Angel. Abou spoke more low,
But cheerily still; and said, "I pray thee, then,
Write me as one who loves his fellow men."

The Angel wrote, and vanished. The next night
It came again with a great wakening light,

And shoed the names whom love of God had blessed,
And, lo! Ben Adhem's name led all the rest!

Letter from Satan

This can really make you think!!!

I saw you yesterday as you began your daily chores.
You awoke without kneeling to pray Fajr.
As a matter of fact, you didn't even say Bismillah before your meals, or
pray Isha before going to bed last night.
You are so unthankful, I like that about you.
I cannot tell you how glad I am that you have not changed your way of living, Fool, you are mine.
Remember, you and I have been going steady for years, and I still don't love you yet.
As a matter of fact, I hate you, because I Disobeyed ALLAH.
I am only using you to get even with ALLAH.
He kicked me out of heaven, and I'm going to use you as long as possible to pay him back.
You see, Fool, ALLAH LOVES YOU and HE has great plans in store for you.
But you have yielded your life to me, and I'm going to make your life a living hell.
That way, we'll be together twice.
This will really couse wrath of ALLAH.
Thanks to you, I'm really showing Him who's boss in your life with all of the good times we've had.
We have been watching dirty movies, cursing people out, stealing, lying, being hypocritical, fornicating, overeating, telling dirty jokes, gossiping,
being judgmental, back stabbing people, disrespecting adults, and those in leadership positions,no respect for the Mosque, bad attitudes.
SURELY you don't want to give all this up.
Come on, Fool, let's burn together forever.
I've got some hot plans for us.
This is just a letter of appreciation from me to you.
I'd like to say "THANKS" for letting me use you for most of your foolish ife.
You are so gullible, I laugh at you.
When you are tempted to sin, you give in HA HA HA, you make me sick.
Sin is beginning to take its toll on your life.
You look 20 years older, and now, I need new blood.
So go ahead and teach some children how to sin.
All you have to do is smoke, get drunk or drink while under-aged,cheat,
gamble, gossip, fornicate, and live being as selfish as possible.
Do all of this in the presence of children and they will do it too.
Kids are like that.
Well, Fool, I have to let you go for now.
I'll be back in a couple of seconds to tempt you again.
If you were smart, you would run somewhere, repent for your sins, and
live for ALLAH with what little bit of life that you have left.its not my nature to warn anyone,
but to be your age and still shinig it's becoming a bit ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, I still hate you.

IT'S JUST THAT YOU'D MAKE A BETTER FOOL FOR ALLAH.           ^Go Back
