Early
Childhood Curriculum

The overall objective of the childhood program at ISI is to provide
opportunities for an active involvement of children and their parents in a
continual process of education based on the knowledge of the Qur'an and Sunnah,
and a deep and firm belief in Allah (SWT), His mercy and His guidance. The
program is designed to help the children direct their energies in learning
about and being aware of their environment, to provide the children many
opportunities to interact with an Islamic environment in a positive and
constructive way, and to develop feelings of self-worth and adequacy about
themselves, their families and their religion. The early childhood program
helps facilitate the part-time and full-time employment of parents in our
community, while providing an array of Islamic, cultural, and language
development experiences for our diverse community, for it gives parents both
peace of mind for the safety of their children as well as the assurance that
their child is being given a head start in his or Islamic schooling experience.
The early childhood program provides care for 3 and 4 year olds who is toilet
trained according to three options:
1. Full time 8:30 AM 3:20 PM
2. Part time 8:30 AM 11:45 AM
In order to enroll in the early childhood program, a child must be 3 or 4 years
old by the 31st of October of that academic year. If a child shows particular
dissatisfaction or an inability to adjust for an extended period of time, the
child may be dis-enrolled until such time as they are ready.
